YOUR MEDIUM FOR THE LATEST NEWS AND INFORMATION FROM THE AUSTIN POND SOCIETY.
The 22nd Austin Pond Society Pond and Garden Tour is rapidly approaching, June 4 & 5, 2016. The tour is the major fund raiser for the Austin Pond Society. It funds our charitable giving, this year, the Zilker Garden Conservancy. For the tour to be a success, it takes Ponds, People and Perseverance. This is also our main outreach to the general public, introducing them to the joys of ponds and water gardens and bringing them into the society. Rosemary and I were so inspired a couple of years ago that we joined and now, since she didn’t come to the meeting to stop me from volunteering, I am the Pond Tour Director. This is going to be a great tour with lots of help from the board and you, the members.
We are looking for ponds to star on the tour this year. This is the opportunity for you to show off your ponds and wonderful water features. Express your interest by filling out the application and we will consider your pond and garden for the tour. The Webmaster is putting the applications on the web and you can fill them out and either email them to me (Put “APS” in the subject line) or print out a copy and bring it to the next meeting. I am certainly looking forward to seeing your work of art.
