We need a new Hospitality Person
IF YOU HAVE ANY CULINARY SKILLS, THE AUSTIN POND SOCIETY NEEDS YOU..
Are you willing to step up to fill the remaining vacant position? We are looking for a responsible volunteer to fill the role of Hospitality. If you have any culinary skills and like to cook, this is a great position for you. I can promise you that you will be the most popular person within the entire organization. I heard through the grapevine that if the position is not filled, we will no longer be serving dinner. Not even pizza. Are you that person that we are looking for?

NEXT MEETING INFORMATION
Our next meeting is not until next year, January 17, 2016. Until then, Happy Holidays
January 17, 2016
The speaker of note for the January 17 meeting is Jane Tillman from the Travis County Audubon Society. Her topic will be , “Put out the Welcome Mat for Backyard Birds” and “Find out how native plants, feeders, water features, shelter and gardening practices contribute to creating a bird-friendly landscape”.
Jane Tillman is an active member of the Travis Audubon Society, and a Capital Area Master Naturalist. She is the President of the Native Plant Society of Texas, Austin chapter. Since 2003 Jane has been teaching people how to attract birds to their yards with native plants. She teaches beginning backyard birding classes, leads field trips and gives talks about Central Texas birds to groups like garden clubs, neighborhood associations, libraries, and Kiwanis clubs. Jane gardens for wildlife, and was fortunate to have a rare Green Violetear hummingbird visit her yard in 2008.
Put the date on your calendars, January 17, 2016 to hear this wonderful speaker talking to us about our bird friends.
