 The OASE Pond-O-Vac 3 is an APS member benefit available for rental to all current, paid Austin Pond Society members for a $25 rental fee and a $75 security deposit. The rental period runs from 7pm Monday to 7pm the following Monday.
This Pond Vac is, in our opinion the best on the market. It is easy to setup and operate and does not require the use of an external water garden hose. The intake hose is 16' long with three wand attachments. The discharge hose connects to the cannister and is 8' long which allows you to direct the pond detritus where you'd like, maybe as fertilizer for your plants. A fine mesh bag can catch all the debris if you desire.
Bill Brister is the coordinator of this APS owned pond vacuum. It is largely the responsibility of the next renter to pickup the vacuum from the previous renter, but in the case that there is no next renter, the current renter will need to return the vacuum to Bill at his home in Leander, at the monthly Board Meeting (2nd Mondays), at the monthly Membership Meetng (3rd Mondays) or at an agreed upon location.
After reserving your rental period from the choices above, you will receive a confirmation e-mail. Please also take time to contact Bill to make final payment arrangements and coordinate the pickup and/or delivery of the Pond-O-Vac 3. Your phone number and which part of town you are in will be most helpful.
