Hi Mike - It is sometimes hard to tell if anyone is helping you since people often reply privately. If no one is helping you please email me back without the TAKEOUT and I will do what I can. I know a fair amount about fish and pump, filtration, but not much about construction. It may very well be possible to patch the liner you have, however this may require the liner break to be dry. In the meantime your fishies. Have you got filter, pump etc going. You must dechlor water each time you top it off. Do not feed the fish. How big is your pond lxwxd. How many fish. You will need a test kit from somewhere like Petsmart. Let me know if I can help.
