All the water had been changed so I do not know the pH, gH, ammonia, nitrite, and nitrate. But I purchased a kit and I plan to base line and monitor it regurally. The water in the two ponds are now the same (have a pump and waterfall between the ponds). Should I move some fish from the lower pond to the upper pond in the fall or should I wait till spring to do it. I plan to take a 5 gal tank and use the 1st gal from the original pond put the fish in it and then every 2 hrs add 1 gal from the new pond. Once I have 5 gal I will move the fish to the new pond. Also, how many fish should I move and should I move the small 3 inches, 5 inches or 9 inch fish to the new pond.
Thanks,
Manu
