So it that a typical reponse for a larger pond also? I have about a 1200 gallon pond and was wondering what to do about the freezing weather. Would getting a heater help, or will the depth of the water(approx. 2.5ft) be enough to keep the fish healthy? If a heater is needed, is there any kind of brand I should be looking for?
