This is a serious-sized pond to start. Even if it's only 3 feet deep that's almost 3000 gallons. How will the hole be dug? If you are doing it manually you can start that and by the time you are done next year you will be a pond expert. 8-) My pond was just a tad bigger and it took me 18 months to dig it by hand. It was great excercise and free! Getting rid of the dirt become a challenge like The Great Escape. Several homes in my neighborhood are sitting on top of my pond dirt since they were built after I completed the project. 8-) 8-)
