Hi! I'm an artist and I want to draw a lotus like the one that represents the sacred lotus of Buddhism. I have several questions: are lotuses the same as water lilies? Is the "sacred lotus" a particular type of lotus? Where can I find lotuses in Austin that I can take pictures of? Are there any in the Zilker Japanese garden? Thanks!
