How big is the hole (leak) that you cannot fix? Or is it a question of a leak you cannot find? Depending on the size of your pond excavation, you may want to either re-line the entire pond or simply patch the area that is the problem. The alternative that Janet mentioned will work well for both. When is comes to water gardens, bigger is typically better as this gives you more room for lilies and more water for stability, which will help any fish you introduce. Digging the hole is the hard part; don't give up.
