I have a very natural-appearing pond, with native limestone rock, set in the middle of a grove of crepe myrtles. Less than one year old, the pond, with the exception of the housing for the pump/skimmer, looks as if it has been in my backyard rather than designed for my backyard. One of the true delights in my life.
However, the housing for the pump/pond is visible, and an eyesore in this oasis. My skimmer and pump are housed underground, but the top lid is large, grey and in a highly visible location. I have tried potted ferns to place on the top of the housing and a large bowl with seaglass as a means of hiding the housing. These seem cumbersome as my pond is in shade, and I need to empty the leaf skimmer frequently. Does anyone have a idea for blending the plastic with the natural pond environment that is lightweight and quickly movable?
