I know I'm asking a lot of questions today, so here's another one.
Other than topping off the pond from evaporative losses (which I estimate at less than 3% of the pond volume), I use a submersible pump to fill a 55 gallon trash can every other week with pond water to water my plants.
Since the pond is fairly new (running since December 05) , and still has some oak leaves and such at the bottom, the water isn't very clear.
Is this a good time to do a sizable water change?
Can it wait until we aren't in a drought? Who knows when that will be...
