I too had to hide an unsightly skimmer. I tried the fiberglass lid type that was supposedly designed to look like natural rock.........it was AWFUL. In the end I found a piece of the type of stone used commonly on walkways (at Emerald Gardens) and split it to the thinnest possible profile. It is perfect for covering the top of and long enough to hide the front of the skimmer. It is also light enough to remove daily for cleaning but strong enough to walk on. Good luck!
