Diane sometime it's hard to tell when there little. Koi most of the time have a longer head and will always have two bar-bells (look like whiskers on both side of the mouth) look like a catfish mouth. Both Catfish and Koi (carp) are bottom feeders and the bar-bell help them find food in the mud
