I think Atlanta is just a little bit colder than Austin. Here tropicals dying is a rare occurance. I would think you could let it bloom out before you move it. The plant probably has a good idea when it is getting too cold and it should conserve it's energy for basic function. That being said my tropicals shot up buds all winter long, two years ago - they just never opened. Barring a sudden freeze I would not worry about it untill the fish start slowing down as well= water temps are lower.
