I have either struck oil or something very weird is happening. My pond, now 1 yr. old, is collecting an unknown oil-type fluid - from an unknown source. It has now killed all my fish and my oxygenating plants.
I have taken the pond all apart - 2x's now - and let it sit for one moth before refilling this last week.
The oil is back - you can see the sheen on the surface and it smells of petroleum.
What in the world could it be? I checked the pump and don't see any leakage??? Any ideas?
