Janet, thanks so much for your reply! It's about 1,000 gallons, 3-4' deep, about 8-9' across (bean shaped) and in-ground. I know it's okay; they did fine last year; i just feel for them in the cold. You're not the first person to tell me they will be okay. I may do the lights for aesthetic reasons, if you think it won't bother them? Will it? Thanks again! Jan
