My pond has a mechanical and biological filter with a waterfall and oxygenating plants. Since I installed it last August, I had no fish deaths until the last three weeks. Now I have had several large goldfish die, one every few days. They develop symptoms of lethargy, lack of interest in food and then are found floating. The seem able to swim well but isolate themselves from the remainder of the fish with little interest in moving. The water has been found to be normal with 0 ammonia. What is my best resource for treatment? Would it be helpful to take a dead fish somewhere in Austin? If so, where? Any help would be appreciated, as I am attached to the little buggers.
